The Caucasus University ( Azerba. Qafqaz Universiteti ) is the institution of higher education in Azerbaijan , the first and as of 2015 the only foreign private university in the republic.

Content
History
The university was founded in 1993, after Azerbaijan gained independence. The founders of the university were a group of Turkish businessmen. The establishment of the campus was supported by the President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev [1] .
Training Program
The University offers training in the Bologna system , which includes a bachelor, master, postgraduate and doctoral program. The MBA program is valid. Some subjects are taught in English, the preparation of which is mandatory for studying at a university (passing the TOEFL exam in the second year of study) [4] . The faculty includes representatives from Turkey, England, America, Russia and other countries [5] . To pay for tuition, a student loan system has been introduced that works in many universities of the world [4] .
Office
The university operates in accordance with the Constitution of Azerbaijan, regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and its own charter [6] . It has been registered with the state since 1995 (confirmed in 2002) [5] .
University management is carried out by several bodies [6] :
- presidium;
- administrative council;
- science Council;
- student council.
The Presidium is the highest governing body, elected by the founders of the university and is responsible for financial and general administrative matters. The administrative council consists of vice-rectors, deans, heads of scientific structures, teachers, and the rector-president assists in the management of the university. The Scientific Council is responsible for the scientific activities of the university and related issues, is an elected body, chaired by the rector. The student council represents the interests of students and organizes student self-government [6] .

- Faiza Abu Naga, Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt
Achievements
For 2014, it is the only higher education institution from the Transcaucasus, which is among the top 700 universities in the world by QS rating [7] .
