Biography
Sergey Dmitrievich Bekasov was born on July 18, 1906 in the village of Molvotitsy, Novgorod Province (now the Leningrad Region). In 1922 he graduated from high school in the Dzerzhinsky district of the city of Leningrad .
He was a member of the Great Patriotic War . He sang before the soldiers at the front as part of the Black Sea Fleet Ensemble. He had the military rank of senior sergeant .
In December 1947 he moved to Moscow. He was married to Evdokia Fyodorovna Bekasova (1912-1991), serving as the Bolshoi Theater . They had 4 children: the daughters Lyubov, Vera and Galina, the son Valery. Their eldest daughter Lyubov Bekasova died during the blockade of Leningrad . She is buried in Piskarevsky cemetery of St. Petersburg .
He passed away on November 20, 1970. He was buried with his wife at the Dolgoprudnensky cemetery in Moscow.
Creativity
For some time he was a member of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the USSR Naval Forces , p. George Alekseevich Kolyshkin .
Later he became a soloist with the Bolshoi Theater . Together with Maya Plisetskaya and Lilia Gritsenko, she starred in the film-opera “ Khovanshchina ” - a film adaptation of the modest opera of Modest Mussorgsky . He played the role of clerk .
He toured a lot in the postwar period, including in Italy. He performed on the stage of the Milan Opera Theater La Scala .
