Career
Participating in the first world youth championship in 1989 in Dunaújváros, I won silver in the 200-meter and two gold in the 4x100 m and 4x200 m relay.
In the 1991 European Championships, she won silver at a distance of 400 meters as part of the USSR national team, and also became a European champion in the 4x200 meter relay.
At the 1992 World Championships, she won the only medal for Estonia - bronze at a distance of 800 meters.
Participating in the World Games - 1993 won two gold (at a distance of 200 meters and in the relay 4x100 meters) and two silver (at distances of 100 and 400 meters).
At the 1993 European Championships, she won two bronze medals, again becoming the only medalist from Estonia.
And at the 1996 World Championships, bronze at a distance of 200 meters becomes the only reward of the Estonian team.
The 1997 European Championships - the last Kristina Championship - and the result is silver at 200 meters.
Kristina Nurk - 32-time champion of Estonia, 12-time champion of northern countries.
In 1991, she was recognized as the best athlete in Estonia.
Kristina is Estonia’s record holder in the 50 (20.98; 1997), 100 (45.00; 1992), 200 (1.38.47; 1992), 400 (3.31.01; 1991) and 800 ( 7.22.70; 1991), as well as in relays of 4x100 m (3.08.60; 1991) and 4x200 m (7.03,40; 1991) [1] .
