Aleksandr Vladimir Ostrovsky (born March 4, 1951 [1] ) is a Soviet and Russian civil engineer .

Biography
In 1973 he graduated from the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute. V.V. Kuybysheva majoring in "hydraulic engineering" ("hydraulic engineer-builder"). He worked in Mostotrest -18 Bridge Detachment , where he rose from the post of foreman, construction superintendent , senior superintendent, head of the production and technical department, deputy production director to the chief engineer [1] . Since the early 1970s, he participated in many large Soviet infrastructure projects [2] .
From 2007 to January 2015, he worked as Deputy General Director - Production Director at the Russian construction company Mostotrest . His largest Russian projects [2] :
- The automobile bridge across the Oka bypassing Murom is the first and only three-pylon cable-stayed bridge in Russia (length - 1.4 km, width - 15 m, pylon height - 85 m). Winner of the competition " Rosavtodor " in the nomination "The most beautiful bridge";
- The doubler of Kurortny Prospekt in Sochi is the most complex and large-scale object of Sochi's transport infrastructure (16 km long, six pairs of two-lane tunnels, five overpasses, a bridge, overpass, three interchanges);
- The first commissioned section of the highway M11 Moscow - St. Petersburg (bypassing the Vyshny Volochyok ). The length is more than 72 km, four lanes, 40 overpasses, 14 bridges, two interchanges.
- Businovskaya interchange in Moscow is the first five-level interchange in Russia (seven overpasses , 12 exits of the road section).
A. Ostrovsky was also responsible for the creation of a number of transport infrastructure facilities for the Olympic Sochi (including the Stadium and Adler Ring interchanges) [3] .
On February 6, 2015, he headed the SGM-Most company (a subsidiary of Stroygazmontazh) for the construction of the Crimean bridge that connects Crimea to mainland Russia [2] .
