Alash affair

Alash affair - mass repressions since 1928 against members of the Alash party. After their arrest, they were charged with participating in an armed struggle against the Soviet power with the aim of overthrowing it, conducting nationalist propaganda, and relations with foreign states fighting against the USSR. In April 1930, about 40 people were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, to execution (replaced by imprisonment for 10 years). Among them: Akhmet Baitursynov , Myrzhakyp Dulatov , Myrzagali Espolov , Khalel Gabbasov , Gazymbek Birimzhanov , and others. Halel and Zhakhansha Dosmukhamedovs, Magzhan Zhumabaev , Epdes Omarov, Ibrahim Satbaev, Abuali Adilov, Abdolla Uzakbaev were sent into exile. Mukhtar Auezov , Ualikhan Omarov, Bilyal Suleev, Alimkhan Yermekov , Daniyal Yskakov, who were later released, were under investigation.
