The avant hall , also the anti - chamber, is a room in front of the main entrance to the main hall of a large public building or palace [1] . Rear doors were sometimes located behind the main hall [2] .
Avanzal in the palaces was a kind of front reception. He had minimal furnishings and was located in front of the entrance to the throne , ballroom, feast or another main hall. The avant hall was used to await the main events of the event, but could also be used as an additional room during mass celebrations [2] .
Depending on the size of the palace, the avenues could be combined with the vestibule (in small buildings) or there could be several outposts (in large palaces). The theme for the design of avanzals often became βplots stating the glory of the state or the names, as well as revealing the genre value of the houseβ [2] .
