Biography

Mother died in 1921, father did not remember. For some time he was homeless , then he became a pupil of an orphanage in Moscow . At 16, he entered Moscow University , where his future boss Andrei Vyshinsky was rector . In the years 1923-1927 - student of the Faculty of Law .

His career went from the investigator of the district prosecutor's offices in Pyatigorsk , Tambov and Voronezh to the deputy chief prosecutor of railway transport . He tried twice to start doing scientific work in 1929 and 1933, but each time he was recalled for service. This was followed by the appointment of the deputy prosecutor of the USSR.

In 1939, Zorya faithfully found out that in most cases of the Great Terror, sentences were handed down on the basis of fabricated evidence, especially in cases of sabotage and sabotage . Called to the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks , he heard that the USSR was not suitable for work in the prosecutor's office . In August 1939, during a partial mobilization, he joined the ranks of the Red Army as an ordinary . He participated in the Soviet-Finnish war , where he became an assistant military prosecutor . This was followed by the appointment of the prosecutor of the military district .

December 28, 1945 flew to Germany to participate in the Nuremberg trials . Represented the Soviet prosecution under the sections “ Aggression against the USSR” and “ Forced labor and forced theft into German slavery”, as well as in the “ Katyn case ”. He was found shot or shot to death in his hotel room the day after Joachim von Ribbentrop and his secretary Weizsäcker swore orally to the text of the secret protocol-annex to the Treaty of Friendship and Border between the USSR and Germany , which spoke about the upcoming partition of Poland [1] [2] .
