The Emil Tsindel partnership was located at 2, Bolshaya Cherkassky Pereulok, Moscow, in the former home of Count Sheremetev [2] .

In 1823 , the Swiss Bucher created a workshop for packing calico. In 1825 , the owner of the workshop was Swiss G. Frauenfelder. In 1833 , Frauenfelder received a German colorist chemist, G. Steinbach, in the workshop. In 1834 , Frauenfelder died. Steinbach married his ex-wife and became the chief enterprise. Under Steinbach, manual packing of multicolored patterns took place. In 1836, Steinbach left Moscow and I. Steinbach became the owner. In 1847 , the former owner moved a Mühlhausen. The new owner is the son-in-law of the former Emil Zindel, the Alsatian. Tsindel reformed the company into a limited partnership. In the 1870s , the factory was remade: the buildings were updated, a new technique was purchased. Architect E. Schlumberger [2] .

The “Emil Tsindel” partnership was established in 1874. From the moment of its foundation until 1901 , the chairman of the board of the company was IK Prove. In 1882 , the partnership received the right to depict the state coat of arms of the Russian Empire on signboards, advertising, labels. Since 1886 , besides calico, satin, cambric and other fabrics were created. In 1888 they began to work on printed winter fabrics. In 1898 , mercerization began to be applied to production - a special method of chemical processing, which prevents fading of fabrics, they become more durable and take on a silky appearance. In 1900 the partnership contributed to the organization of the Society of Consumers of the Kozhevnichesky Factory-Zavodsky District of Moscow. In the same year, in 1900, at the famous World Exhibition in Paris, in the section “Yarn and Cotton Fabrics”, products under the brand name “Emil Tsindel” were awarded the most prestigious - the highest award of this largest industrial forum. [3] From 1901 to 1917 , the company’s chairman of the company was A.L. Knoop [2] .

Since 1906 , the well-known doctor Yakov Nekrasov has been working in the factory hospital of the Partnership [4] .

In 1914 , the factory employed 35 printing machines. Involved 3.1 thousand people. Revenues amounted to 20 million rubles. In 1918 the enterprise was nationalized and renamed the “First cotton print factory” . Since 1978 , the former production of Emil Zindel became known as the “ textile fabrication factory of the Moskhlopprom association” . In the post-perestroika time - JSC “Cotton Printing Factory” [2] .
