Content
Geography
The municipality is located in the southeastern part of the Mozdok district . The composition of the rural settlement includes two settlements. The area of the rural settlement is - 37.8 km 2 .
It borders the lands of municipalities: the rural settlement of Voznesenskoye in the east, the urban district of Malgobek in the south, the rural settlement of Vezhariy in the west, as well as the lands of the Kizlyar , Kiev and Tersky settlements in the north.
The rural settlement is located at the northern foot of the Tersky ridge , on the site of the Mozdok district, which extends into the territory of the Republic of Ingushetia . The terrain is mostly hilly with an increase in the differences in relative heights in the south. The average altitude in the territory of the municipality is 358 meters above sea level. Absolute heights reach 500 meters above sea level.
The hydrographic network is represented on the territory of the municipality is poorly represented. With the exception of spring streams, this is the artery of the Nadterechny canal, stretching along the northern edge of the rural settlement.
The climate is humid and temperate with warm summers. The average annual air temperature is + 9.5 ° С. The air temperature on average ranges from + 22.0 ° C in July, to -3.7 ° C in January. The average annual rainfall is about 640 mm. Most rainfall occurs between May and July. At the end of summer, dry winds blowing on the territory of the Caspian lowland are frequent .
