Geography

The municipality is located in the northwestern part of the Mozdok district . The rural settlement consists of four settlements. The area of ​​the rural settlement is 58.9 km 2 .

It borders the lands of municipalities: Priterechny rural settlement in the west, Garden rural settlement in the northeast, Pavlodolsky rural settlement in the east and the rural settlement of Hamidiye in the south.

The rural settlement is located on the Kabardian plain in the steppe zone of the republic. The terrain is predominantly wavy flat, with slight fluctuations in altitude. Along the valley of the Terek River, hilly hills stretch. The average altitude in the territory of the municipality is 155 meters above sea level. The Terek river valley is covered with dense riverine forests, which make it difficult to approach the river.

The hydrographic network is represented mainly by the Terek River, which spills in the region of the village of Chernoyarskaya and Novo-Ossetian into large river islands.

The climate is humid and temperate with hot summers and cool winters. The average annual air temperature is + 10.7 ° С. Air temperature on average ranges from + 23.5 ° C in July to -2.5 ° C in January. The average annual rainfall is about 570 mm. Most rainfall occurs between May and July. At the end of summer, dry winds blowing on the territory of the Caspian lowland are frequent .

History

The status and boundaries of a rural settlement are established by the Law of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania dated March 5, 2005 No. 16-rz “On Establishing the Borders of a Mozdok District Municipal Formation, Empowering It with a Status of a Municipal District, Forming Urban and Rural Settlements in Its Municipal Formations borders ” [2]
