The village administratively belonged to the Yuksovsky volost of the 2nd camp of the Lodeinopolsky district of the Olonets province .
From 1917 to 1921, the village was part of the Yuksovsky village council of the Ascension parish of Lodeynopolsky district of the Olonets province.
Since 1922, as part of the Leningrad province .
Since 1927, as part of the Ascension District . In 1927, the population of the village was 260 people [5] .
According to 1933, the village of Konets was part of the Yuksovsky village council of the Voznesensky district [6] .
According to regional administrative data, the large village of Konets included Parfiryevskaya, Fedorovskaya, Klyuchinskaya and Potashevskaya.
From September 1, 1941 to May 31, 1944, the village was in Finnish occupation.
Since 1954, as part of the Podporozhsky district.

The village is located in the north-eastern part of the region north of the highway 41K-001 ( Lodeynoye Pole - Vytegra ).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 41 km [12] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Podporozhye is 93 km [7] .
The village is located on the western shore of Lake Yuksovsky .
