Name Origin
The garden is named after the village of Zakharkovo , which was here until August 18, 1960, when it was included in Moscow.
History
In 1950, collective farm apple orchards, also known as the Madzhuginsky Garden, were planted in the village of Zakharkovo [2] . On August 18, 1960, Zakharkovo was included in Moscow, and the garden became part of Moscow, too. Later it became part of the Northern Tushino park.
In 2013, reconstruction was carried out, as a result of which the Northern Tushino museum and park complex was divided into 5 zones: an eco-park, Bodry park, Dobry park, Zakharkovo park, and the Navy history museum [2] .
Transport
The Zakharkovsky Garden can be reached using the metro: Skhodnenskaya or Planernaya [2] .
Flora and Fauna
In addition to apples in the garden grow: poplar, pine, spruce, linden, maple, elm, ash, oak and birch [1] .
