In a silver field there are two crossed fishing tops of gold rods on a scarlet frame, intertwined with a scarlet ribbon. In the free part - the coat of arms of the Kirov region.

Justification of the coat of arms ^[2] :

The coat of arms of the city of Slobodsky is taken as the historical emblem of the county town of Slobodsk of Vyatka governorship, which was highly approved on May 28, 1781 (according to the old style).

Silver (white color) is a symbol of perfection, nobility, purity of thoughts, peace.

Gold (yellow color) is a symbol of wealth, constancy, honor, respect, intelligence.

Devil (red color) - a symbol of courage, courage, fearlessness, maturity, energy, vitality.

• February 14, 2005 ( 2005-02-14 ) - the coat of arms of the city, based on the historical coat of arms of 1781, was approved by the decision of the Sloboda City Council ^[1] .
• The coat of arms of the city of Slobodsky is included in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under No. 1825 ^[1] .

1781 Coat of Arms

On September 11 (22), 1780, the Vyatka governorship with the center in the city of Hlynov , renamed Vyatka, was formed by a registered decree of Empress Catherine II . In 1781, the ruling post of the heraldmeister , the current state adviser A.A. Volkov, presented the coats of arms of the cities of the governorate for the highest approval. The historical coat of arms of Slobodsky was highly approved on May 28 ( June 8 ), 1781 by Empress Catherine II, along with other emblems of the cities of Vyatka governorship ^{[4] [5]} .

The emblem's description read:

In the upper part of the shield, the coat of arms of Vyatka, in the lower part in a silver field are cross-shaped, made for fishing from the top of a rod, with which tamo tools all kinds of fish are abundantly caught.

Coat of arms of 1970

July 11, 1970 ( 1970-07-11 ) - the executive committee of the Sloboda City Council of Workers' Deputies approved the amended coat of arms of Slobodsky, the author of which was Vasily Maksimovich Evlakov, by Decree No. 112 ^[1] .

This coat of arms can be described as follows:

The shield is crossed, the lower part is cut. In the first silver field there is a golden squirrel, in the second golden field a black hand pulling a black bow, the third field is intersected by azure and silver, on the line of intersection there is a double spiky belt of variable tinctures. In the upper, cut off part of the shield there is an inscription with the name of the city, made in the stylized old style of letters.
