Physical Properties
Praseodymium gallium forms crystals of rhombic syngony , space group C mcm , cell parameters a = 0.4432 nm, b = 1.1301 nm, c = 0.4194 nm, Z = 4, structure like chromium boride CrB [1] [2] [ 3] .
The compound is formed by a peritectic reaction at a temperature of 1015 ° C [1] .
At a temperature of 36 K, a paramagnet – antiferromagnet transition occurs in the compound, and at 28 K, an antiferromagnet – ferromagnet transition occurs [4] .
