Cossack of the Kuban Cossack army . He graduated from the Stavropol Cossack Junker School . On January 1, 1909, Yesaul of the 1st Kuban Cossack Regiment .
During World War I, he was a military foreman, from January 31, 1915 commander of the Yekaterinoslav (2nd Consolidated Kuban) regiment, by January 1, 1917, colonel, head of the 2nd brigade of the 3rd Kuban Cossack division .
In 1916-1917, the head of the Kurdistan detachment in the 1st Caucasian Cavalry Corps , operating at the Persian Theater . Temporarily commanded the 3rd Kuban Division.
During the June offensive of 1917 on June 18, he captured the city of Panjwin in Iraqi Kurdistan . Passing to the defense in the conditions of the Turkish counterattack, he commanded the advanced units. He personally led the fight, repelled four enemy counterattacks, while trying to repel the guns captured by the Turks, he rushed hand to hand with the nearest units, was surrounded and raised with bayonets [1] .
Posthumously awarded the Order of St. George , 4th class (03/27/1918).
