The stopping point on the Katowice - Legnica railway line was built in 1856 when this territory was part of the Kingdom of Prussia . The name of the point is from the village of Brachow or Brechlevice ( Polish: Brachów, Brechlewice , German: Brechelshof , Brechelshof), which was liquidated in 1974 to build a reservoir.
