Dimension

Dimension ( fr. Gabarit ) - the ultimate outline of the object or gap between parts of structures.

For moving machines or moving parts of fixed machines determines the space in which they move. No details of structures or mechanisms , except those directly interacting with them, should enter this space. The concept of dimension is more strictly defined for moving vehicles, the trajectory of which is clearly defined (for example, for rail and other guided vehicles ). For transport, the trajectory of which may vary within certain limits, for example, automobile , sometimes the concept of a dynamic corridor is used , taking into account possible deviations when driving a vehicle.
