Sports career
In 1938, Stef Klein was in the main composition of the Ajax Amsterdam. In the debut season, he played only in a few friendlies. In the championship of the Netherlands Steph made his debut on September 24, 1939 in a match against the DOS club [1] . In that season, he only went to the field three times in championship matches [2] .
In June 1943, Klein, together with the team, became the owner of the Netherlands Cup , in the final of which the DFC club was beaten . In total, over seven years, Stef took part in 28 matches of the championship of the Netherlands [1] . For the last time in the championship, as part of the “red-white”, he entered the field on February 20, 1944 in a match with the Blau-Wit club [1] .
After Ajax, he played for Vrindensar from Külemborg , and in November 1948 he moved to the third-class VVA club from Amsterdam [3] .
