Dardyn (Dar-ad-din) Chachba is the sovereign prince of the Abkhaz principality , from the Chachba clan. Taking advantage of the weakening of the Georgian kingdom , he tried to free himself from his power, seeking help from the Seljuk Turks . He joined the service of Keykhosrov II , and is even appointed commander in chief of his army. He participated in the battle of Köse-dag , where he died at the very beginning of the battle. [1] .
