Querstedt ( German: Querstedt ) is a village in Germany , in Saxony-Anhalt . It is part of the city of Bismarck (Altmark) of the Stendal district .

The population is 234 people (as of December 31, 2006). It covers an area of 18.19 km².
Initially, Kverstedt was a Slavic settlement. First mentioned in 1278. In the 13th century, a stone church was built.
Until December 31, 2009, Querstedt had the status of a community (commune). January 1, 2010, the settlement became part of the city of Bismarck (Altmark) [1] . The last burgomaster of the community was Petra Steffens.
