The Buryat Republican Organization VTOO "Union of Artists of Russia" is a creative public organization, a voluntary association of professional artists and art historians - creative workers of the Republic of Buryatia. It operates in the territory of Buryatia on the basis of the Constitution of the Russian Federation , Federal Laws “On Public Associations”, “On Non-Profit Organizations”, legislation on creative unions and other legislation of the Russian Federation. The Buryat Republican Organization VTOO "Union of Artists of Russia" is the assignee of the Buryat Organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. The Union of Artists of Buryatia is one of the oldest of the currently existing associations of artists, not only in Russia, but also in the former USSR [1] .

History
Already the first exhibitions organized by the Buryat Scientific Committee ( Buruchkom , 1922) aroused direct interest among specialists and a wide audience. This is evidenced by press responses ( Verkhneudinsk , Novosibirsk , Moscow ) [2] .
After the decree of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks of April 23, 1932, "On the restructuring of literary and artistic organizations," the Union of Artists of the USSR was created. July 21, 1933 the Union of Artists of the USSR established the Buryat-Mongolian branch of the Union of Artists [3] . The National Archives of the Republic of Buryatia calls August 1933 the time of the creation of the Union of Artists [4] . Its first chairman was G. E. Pavlov , Executive Secretary R. S. Merdygeev . The first members of the Union of Artists were Ts. S. Sampilov , F. I. Baldaev , M. E. Shestakova , E. I. Nevolin-Okladnikova , A. A. Okladnikov and others [5] . In 1957, the Union began to be called "Buryat Organization of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR." In 2002, at the XIII Congress "S. Kh. Republic of Buryatia ”a new name was approved - the Buryat Republican Organization VTOO“ Union of Artists of Russia ” [1] .

Rewards
In 1983, the Union of Artists of the Buryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Chairman Dugarov D.N. D.) was awarded an honorary diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR for its merits in the field of Soviet fine art (Decree of 06.24.1983) [1] .
Modernity
In 2014, the Union will unite the 81st professional artist who work in the technique of easel and monumental decorative painting, sculpture, book and easel graphics, applied art (tapestry, batik, ceramics). Among them are folk artists of Russia Solbon Radnaevich Rinchinov and Svetlana Petrovna Rinchinova , Honored Artists of the Russian Federation Innokenty Grigorievich Nalabardin, Lev Aleksandrovich Labok, Chingiz Badmaevich Shonkhorov, Yuri Endonovich Mandaganov, Leonid Dorzhievich Semenov, Balzhinima Dorzhurzh 5 , Balzhinima Dorzh.
The Union of Artists of Buryatia is constantly involved in all-Russian and republican art activities. Once in 4–5 years, regional exhibitions are held throughout Russia. So in October 2003, the Union of Artists of Buryatia took part in the regional exhibition “Far East” in Khabarovsk , 2003. In June 2003, an exhibition of Buryat artists was opened in the Sorbonne Gallery ( Paris , France ), dedicated to the centenary of the artist Ts. Sampilova. In February 2004, the 10th All-Russian Art Exhibition was held. From the Union of Artists of Buryatia, 20 artists participated. Among them are the famous masters of Buryatia : Kazan A, V., Shenkhorov Ch. B., Zhambalov B. G., Dorzhiev BN and others [1] .
