History

Beads themselves - many types of beads, beadwork techniques and techniques for working with it, became known in ancient Egypt .

In the Middle Ages in Russia, especially in the north, pieces of nacre and river pearls were widely used as beads, which were obtained in large quantities in rivers and used to decorate clothes, church and household utensils, mainly in such techniques as embroidery .
