Guntersdorf previously had the status of a community (commune). From 2006 to 2009, it was subordinate to the management of Loin-Kötschau. On December 31, 2009, together with a number of other settlements, it became part of the city of Loina [1] . The last burgomaster of the community was Marianne Rimayer.
