The grammatical dictionary of the Russian language ( Zaliznyak's dictionary ) - compiled by A. A. Zaliznyak, a dictionary of approximately 100 thousand words of the Russian language with their full morphological description. The dictionary was first built on the basis of a systematic approach to the description of grammatical paradigms , including not only a change in the literal composition of words, but also stress . The methodology was presented by the author in the fundamental work on morphology “Russian nominal inflection” (Moscow: Nauka, 1967; reprint: Moscow: Slavic culture languages, 2002); the vocabulary goes back (with significant changes) to the “Reverse Dictionary of the Russian Language” (Moscow: Soviet Encyclopedia, 1974), compiled using computer technology based on the vocabulary of the four fundamental explanatory dictionaries of the Soviet period (the Ushakov and Ozhegov dictionaries, as well as the small and large academic dictionaries).
The dictionary reflects (with the help of a special system of symbols) modern inflection, that is, the declension of nouns, adjectives, pronouns, numerals and conjugation of verbs. Zaliznyak Dictionary is a reverse vocabulary , where words are ordered by the last letters. In addition to the actual list of words, the dictionary contains an extensive introductory theoretical part describing all the options, sub-options and special cases of declension and conjugation in the literary Russian language. In recent editions, a description has been added of the characteristics of the declension of proper names.
The dictionary was first published in 1977, and since then it has been reprinted several times with the necessary changes and additions. (At the same time, for ease of reference, the introductory theoretical part in all editions is located on the same pages.) The electronic version of one of the first editions of this dictionary formed the basis of most modern computer programs that work with Russian morphology: spell checking , machine translation , automatic summarization systems. and so on [1] [2] .
Zaliznyak's dictionary is included in the list of four dictionaries, grammars and reference books recommended in 2009 by the Interdepartmental Commission on the Russian Language at the Ministry of Education and Science and containing the norms of the modern Russian literary language [3] [4] .
