Jarlite is a rare fluoride mineral named after Karl Frederick Jarl, the former president of the Danish Cryolite Company, who first described this mineral [1] .

Properties
Jarlite is a colorless, white, or gray mineral with a glass sheen . Has a Mohs hardness of 4-4.5, density - 3.78-3.93. The color of the mineral trait is white, the syngony is monoclinic. Jarlite is found in the voids of a partially dissolved cryolite of a pegmatite deposit in association with other fluorides. Opened in 1933 [1] [2] .
