History
The first mention of Demker dates back to 1238 .
Until May 2010, Demker formed his own commune, which also included the village of Elpersdorf ( German: Elversdorf ; ), first mentioned in 1022 year.
May 31, 2010 , after the reforms, Demker became part of the Tangerhütte urban district as a district [1] . The village of Elpersdorf also entered this area.
