February 4, 1971 Rolls-Royce Limited , a manufacturer of automobiles and aircraft engines, which existed since 1904, was officially declared bankrupt . However, it, as a national treasure, was saved by the British government by investing about $ 250 million in business; at the same time, the automobile division was separated from the company and turned into Rolls-Royce Motors.
In 1998, the owners of the concern decided to dispose of the assets of Rolls-Royce Motors, and the company was sold to the German automaker BMW (see Rolls-Royce Motor Cars ).

- Rolls-Royce Corniche ("Cornish") was developed in 1971. The prestigious two-door convertible . The model was produced until 1995 .
- Rolls-Royce Camargue ("Kamark") became in 1975 the first production car of the company, developed by foreign designers.
- Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II ("Silver Ghost") was presented in 1977 at the Geneva Motor Show. The four-door limousine had a V-shaped eight-cylinder engine (6.75 liters) and a supporting body.
- Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit ("Silver Spirit"), released in 1982, is equipped with a V8 engine (as experts say - not without the influence of Cadillac representative cars).
- Rolls-Royce Silver Spur ("Silver Spur") was produced in parallel with the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit . This model was the most popular Rolls-Royce in the USA .
- Rolls-Royce Park Ward - a limousine with a 6-7-seater body (however, in the official catalogs the model is positioned as a " sedan "), is intended only for representative purposes. Park Ward was first introduced at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September 1991 .
- Rolls-Royce Flying Spur ("Flying Spur") - the model was released in 1994 , to the 90th anniversary of the company, limited to a series of 50 cars. It is an upgraded version of Rolls-Royce Silver Spur .
- Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn is the new name given to the well-known Silver Spirit model at the end of 1996 after another modernization.
