Choi Gyeongchang ( cor. 최경환 ? , 崔 炅 煥? ; Born , ) is a South Korean politician, civil servant, deputy prime minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea . From April to May 2015, he temporarily acted as Prime Minister of the country.

Biography
Choi Gyeongchang was born in Sinchon-dong, Gyeongsang City, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. He graduated from Daegu High School in 1975 and the Department of Economics at Yonsei University in 1979. He received his doctorate in economics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison , where he studied from 1987 to 1991.
He made his career largely thanks to economic education. In 1995, he worked as a researcher at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In the 2002 presidential election, he was a special economic adviser to presidential candidate Lee Hvechkhan from the Great Country Party .
