Biography
Jacob Bikker was born in Amsterdam. She was the daughter of Jan Bikker and Agneta de Graff van Paulsbruck , and was the sister of Wendela Bikker , who married the great pensioner Johann de Witt .
At the age of 22, she was married to cousin Peter de Graff, Mr. Ilpenstein. Their wedding in Ilpenstein was attended by poets and Jost van den Vondel . The latter, under the impression of wedding celebrations, wrote a poem “On the Wedding of the Honorable Mr. Peter de Graff, Honorary Citizen of South Polsbruck and the Honorable Madame Jacob Bikker” ( Dutch: Ter bruiloft van den weledelen heer Peter de Graef, Jongkheer van Zuitpolsbroeker böferlefer bélefer melefleberlefer de jefkleerle béffer bélefer melefleer böfefer de jefkölfer melefleer böfeler de jefkleer . In this marriage, only three children survived:
- (1671 - 1719), Mr. Purmerland and Ilpendam, head of the chapter of St. Peter's Basilica in Utrecht;
- (1673 - 1714), mister of South Polsbruck, member and secretary of the city council of Amsterdam, married Johann Hoft;
- Agneta de Graff , married Jan Baptista de Hohepid , with whom she moved to The Hague.
