Cornelius Smith Jr. ( born Cornelius Smith Jr. , born March 8, 1982) is an American television actor. He is known for the role of Frankie Hubbard, the son of the heroine Debbie Morgan , in the ABC All-My Children soap opera, where he starred from 2007 to 2011 [1] . The role brought him a nomination for a daily Emmy Award in 2009 [2] .

Smith was born in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. [1] In 2007, he also graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University , after which he began his career on the off-Broadway stage and in the soap opera “All My Children” [1] . After the closing of the daytime soap opera, Smith moved to Los Angeles, where he began appearing in the prime time TV series Especially Serious Crimes and Agent Shch.I.T. , as well as on Lifetime television films, including Whitney ( playing brother Whitney Houston ) [3] . In 2015, he appeared in the fourth season of Scandal , playing a human rights activist [4] . Smith has been promoted to the main squad since the fifth season [5] .
