Biography
Fyodor Anjou was born on August 15, 1758, in the city of Moscow , in the family of the watchmaker Andrian-Jean Anjou, who fled to Russia from France [2] [3] .
He received his primary education at a Moscow hospital school, where he entered as a volunteer on May 1, 1775. At the end of the course, on July 17, 1779, he was recognized as a doctor and was soon sent to Germany for advanced training [2] .
Anjou first studied at the University of Berlin , and then continued his studies at the University of GΓΆttingen , where on July 8, 1783 he received his doctorate [2] . During his studies in GΓΆttingen, he was consecrated into Freemasonry in the box of the Golden Circle, which included many students from Russia.
Returning to the Russian Empire, Anjou passed the verification test at the former medical college and on May 23, 1784 he was allowed to practice medicine in Russia [2] .
December 17, 1784 Fedor Andreevich Anjou entered the service in the Klinsky district of Moscow province ; but four years later he was forced to resign due to health reasons [2] .
Having re-entered the service in Vyshny Volochek , May 6, 1790, he served until August 17, 1797 [2] .
In 1801, F. A. Anjou received hereditary nobility for his merits [1] . Under Emperor Alexander I, he served as an intern at the St. Petersburg Maritime Hospital [2] .
Fedor Andreevich Anjou died, November 2, 1824, being in the 6th grade [2] .
