About the Conference

In 2010, the conference was conceived as a platform for the scientific exchange of young art historians (senior students, graduate students and young professionals up to 35 years old) [3] . Teachers and professors of St. Petersburg State University (S. V. Maltsev, T. V. Ilyin , V. A. Bulkin , E. Yu. Stanyukovich-Denisova, N. K. Zhizhin, A. V. Rykov ) and Moscow State University ( I. I. Tuchkov , A.V. Zakharova, V.S. Turchin , O.S. Popova , E.S. Smirnova , O.S. Evangulova , A.A. Karev , V.D. Dazhina ) constantly supervised to form a new generation of professionals, actively integrated into the global scientific community. During the first four years of the conference of young professionals, master classes were held, the practice of which contributed to a change in the format of the conference. Since 2014, the State Hermitage Museum joined the partner universities, [4] in 2015 the Moscow Kremlin Museums, and in 2018 the State Tretyakov Gallery . According to the organizers, not only horizontal, but also vertical (from senior students to leading scientists and museum curators) interaction will help ensure the effectiveness of Russian art history as a science.
