Biography
Simion Kuchyuk was born on July 4, 1941.
He achieved his first serious success at the adult international level in 1964, when he joined the main team of the Romanian national team and thanks to a series of successful performances he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the Tokyo Summer Olympics . As part of a four-seater crew, which included also the rowers Atanasie Schotnik , Aurel Vernescu and Mihai Tsurkash , won a bronze medal at a distance of 1000 meters - in the decisive race they were passed by crews from the USSR and Germany.
Despite the success at the Olympics, in the future Simion Kuciuc did not achieve any significant achievements and soon decided to end his career as a professional athlete, giving way to young Romanian rowers in the national team.
