Gapiy, Dmitry Gavrilovich

Born in a working class family. He worked as a courier, a laborer in salt fields, a loader in oil warehouses. In 1925 he joined the Komsomol, worked in the Komsomol organization of the city of Odessa.

Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1928 .

In 1931-1936, he was a student at the Odessa Industrial Institute, at the same time working as the director of the Odessa training courses, led the school of the Faculty of Food Sciences of food workers, and from 1934 he was appointed director of the college of food industry.

Since 1936 - Director of the Odessa Institute of Canning Industry.

In 1941 - Secretary of the Odessa Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine for the light and food industries. He participated in the defense of Odessa, then worked as an instructor of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, at party work in the Kazakh SSR.

In 1944-1945, he was the 3rd secretary of the Rivne Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine. In 1945-1947 - Secretary of the Rivne Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine for Industry. In 1947-1948, he was the 2nd Secretary of the Rivne Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine.

In 1948 - September 1952 - 1st Secretary of the Chernivtsi Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine.

In September 1952 - June 1956 - 1st Secretary of the Drogobych Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

In the early 1960s - Deputy Chairman of the CHX of the Odessa Economic Administrative Region. Then he worked as the director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Canning Industry in Odessa.
