Leucotrichia rhomba (lat.) Is a species of small caddis flies of the genus Leucotrichia from the family Hydroptilidae . Central America : Costa Rica (RΓo Jaba at rock quarry, Las Cruces, 8.79 Β° N, 82.97 Β° W, 1150 m) [1] .

Content
Description
Small caddis flavors , tan. Legs with brown bristles. Front wing length 2.4 mm. On the head there are 3 ocelli, the front wings are wide at the base, narrow in the apical part. The mandibular palps are 5-segmented, the lower labial palps composed of 3 segments. On the tops of the shins of the front, middle and hind legs, 1, 3 and 4 spurs, respectively. Mesoscutellum with transverse suture. Spines on VIII and the protrusion on the IX segment are absent. Larvae live at the bottom of reservoirs of various types [1] .
Systematics
Similar to the taxa Leucotrichia brochophora , Leucotrichia lerma and Leucotrichia padera . The species was first described in 2015 by American entomologists Robin E. Thomson and Ralph W. Holzenthal , University of Minnesota , St. Paul , USA . The species name is given in honor of Diane Thomson [1] .
