Aksumbe ( kaz. Asқmbe ), an ancient settlement (X-XV centuries), is located in the Suzak district of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan on the Aksumbe river on the western outskirts of the village of Aksumbe . It was investigated in 1946 by an archaeological expedition of academician A. Kh. Margulan , in 1947 by archaeologists E. I. Ageeva, G. I. Patsevich. Preserved fortress with watchtowers.
