World Championship in International Women's Drafts 1986

The world championship in international drafts, 1986, was held February 1–16 in Cannes , France, in a round robin. It was attended by 14 athletes from 6 countries. Three athletes scored the same number of points - 10½ each. According to the regulations, the representative of the USSR Elena Altshul became the world champion for the fifth time. For the second place, giving the right to call the world champion for the match of April 8–15, a match was held between the Soviet checkers Zivila Sakalauskaite and Zoya Sadovskaya. It won Sadovskaya with a score of 4-2 .
