Ridmergernerite is colorless, has glass luster , triclinic syngony , uneven fracture , density 2.77, hardness 6 on the Mohs scale . The mineral is translucent, but transparent specimens have also been found. Impurities - Ti, Al, Fe, Mg, Ca, Ba, K, F, H 2 O, P.
