Robert Nippoldt ( German: Robert Nippoldt ; October 13, 1977 [3] , Kranenburg , North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany ) is a German illustrator , graphic designer and book designer [4] .

He studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster. His graduation work was the book Gangster. Die Bosse von Chicago . Two years later, in 2007, the second book he designed was published - Jazz. New York in the Roaring Twenties [5] [6] . The book has been translated into several languages ​​and has received many awards. In 2010, the world saw his third book on America in the 1920s and 30s, Hollywood in the 1930s [7] [8] [9] . In 2017, Taschen published his fourth book, Night falls on the Berlin of the Roaring Twenties . The book was accompanied by the release of board games [10] and a limited edition of posters printed using the silk screen printing method [11] .

In addition to working on books, Robert Nippoldt painted illustrations for international magazines and major clients such as The New Yorker [12] , Le Monde , Die Zeit , Mercedes-Benz , Reader's Digest [13] , Taschen [14] and Time . In this area, he worked together with his sister Astrid Nippoldt and wife Christina Nippoldt under their own brand Studio Nippoldt [15] [16] .

A book dedicated to Berlin is accompanied by a presentation by Ein Rätselhafter Schimmer. This stage program with live illustrations and live music was created in 2015–2018. The program has been presented more than 50 times, including at the Pantheon Theater in Bonn, the Heimathafen Neukölln pavilion in Berlin, and AIDA cruise ships.
