Biography
Born in 1911 in the village of Odintsovka, now in the Repyevsky district of the Voronezh region, into a poor peasant family.
He began his career in the mines of Donbass in 1931. In 1942 he was sent to Kuzbass (Kemerovo region). He worked as a machinist of a logging machine and a coal processor at the S. M. Kirov mine, then at the Polysaevskaya-1 mine, including during the Great Patriotic War.
He took a personal part in the development of new mining equipment and the establishment of an all-Union record for the Donbass harvester issuing 25,100 tons of coal per month, and was an active participant in the introduction of integrated labor organization in the mine. All years exceeded the production plan. For production successes he was awarded the badge "Excellent Socialist Competition", he was awarded the title of "Honorary Miner".
Ilyin was one of the first to drive a combine with a high-height articulated bar. He was one of the innovators in introducing the integrated organization of labor, which was born on Polysaevskaya-1 and gained recognition far beyond the Kuznetsk basin.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 26, 1957, for outstanding achievements in the development of the coal industry during the years of the fifth five-year plan and in 1956, Ilyin Andrei Semyonovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
Since 1961 - retired.
He lived in Leninsk-Kuznetsk , and then in the village (since 1989 - the city) of Polysaevo, Kemerovo region. For more than a quarter of a century he worked as part of the freelance personnel department of the mine, often met with young workers of the mine, students of sponsored school No. 17.
He died in 1992 . He was buried in the cemetery of the Kuznetskaya mine .
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin (04/26/1957), the Red Banner of Labor, and medals.
