Biography
The youngest of the children of the hereditary nobleman I. D. Lebedev , Boris Ivanovich Lebedev, after graduating from the 1st Moscow gymnasium in 1898, where his father was once a director, graduated in 1903 with a diploma of the 1st degree from the law faculty of Moscow University and he received the title of assistant attorney [1] . In the years 1903-1904. was a student of the Moscow Agricultural Institute [2] .
In February-June 1904, he was in Port Arthur, where he participated in the defense and defense of the city [3] .
In 1904-1905 he passed, as a volunteer, service in the 3rd Grenadier Artillery Brigade of the Separate Grenadier Corps .
In 1906–1911 - The head of practical work, a teacher of law and the head of the library Grigorkovskoy lower agricultural school. Then, in 1911-1913, he was in charge of the Zemstvo Public Library in Blagush .
He participated in the First World War - the lieutenant [4] of the 57th artillery brigade of the North-Western Front , since 1916, as part of the 44th Army Corps of the Western Front; was a member of the legal commission of the headquarters of the Special Army . He was awarded for distinguishing the Order of St. George IV degree [5] , Orders of St. Anne III degree with swords [5] and IV degree with the inscription "For Bravery" [6] , St. Stanislav I with swords [5] and II degrees with swords [ 7] , as well as the medals "In memory of the Russo-Japanese War" on the Alexandrovsko-Georgievsk ribbon, "In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812" on the Vladimir ribbon and the cross "For Port Arthur". He is deprived of the officer's rank, all awards and distinctions, as well as the right to officer retirement according to the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of December 16 (29), 1917.
In January 1918, demobilized to the rank of lieutenant. In 1919, by the decision of the Khamovnichesky People’s Court of Moscow, according to the 4th division, he was released from service in the Red Army for religious and moral convictions.
After the October coup, he worked in various positions in the State Rumyantsev Museum ; since 1924 - USSR State Library. V.I. Lenin : in 1918-1920 - Head of the Scientific Office, Head of the Subdivision of Scientific and Special Instructions; in 1919—1922 - Secretary of the Library Conference and Secretary of the Meeting of Department Heads, at the same time - Head of the Administrative Department and the Scientific Department; in 1922-1928 - Head of the Administrative Department; in 1924-1928 - The main librarian; in 1926-1929 - Head of the Storage and Accounting Department and Head of the Special Storage Branch. After the “purge” of 1929, he was dismissed as an assistant librarian of the Fund Collection Department. [8] .
In February 1930, he was arrested on charges of espionage and was in the OGPU inner prison [9] . He was soon released and returned to the Lenin Library as an assistant librarian. In 1931, he was again appointed chief librarian and occupied the position of deputy head of the library book fund department. In 1936 he was dismissed from the Lenin Library "for health reasons." In 1936 and before the start of the Great Patriotic War, he worked as a librarian in one of the secondary schools in Moscow.
B. I. Lebedev was the author of the chapter "Organization of the Library" and one of the compilers of the work: The State Rumyantsev Museum: Guide: Part I. The Library. - M .; Pg .: Publishing house of L. D. Frenkel, 1923. - 238 p.
He died in Moscow in December 1944 [10] ; burial site is not established.
Family
His wife Lyubov S., nee Alexander (1889 Karabanovo - 1964, Moscow) - the daughter of a hereditary honorary citizen, factory manager in the village Karabanova Baranov Sergey Dmitrievich the Alexander (1861-1938) and Sophia Alekseevna Unitsky - graduated with a gold medal and the title of a home tutor Usachevsky -Chernyavskoe Women's College; in Soviet times, she taught singing at a number of Moscow secondary schools, since 1945, she has been a senior researcher at the Department of Musical Art at the Institute of Art Education of the RSFSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences [11] . She is the author of a number of works: Choral singing as a means of educating a student. - M .: APN RSFSR, 1948; Educational work in the choir of boys. - M .: Publishing house of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR, 1950 [12] .
The daughter of L.S. and B.I. Lebedev - Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Borisovna Lebedeva (1918–1999) [13] was one of the leading teachers in the Department of Dynamic Geology of the Geological Faculty of Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov , author and co-author of scientific monographs, textbooks and manuals on general geology, geotectonics and tectonophysics, including the "Manual on general geology", which has survived five editions [14] .
Her civil husband was Israel Abramovich Brin (1919, Saratov - 2011, Moscow), grandfather of one of the founder of Google, Sergey Brin , elder brother of the USSR Honored Coach A. A. Kolmanovsky and second cousin of the People's Artist of the USSR E. S. Kolmanovsky . The son of N. B. Lebedeva and I. A. Brin - Alexander Izraylevich Lebedev (1945-1997) - was married to the daughter of Academician M. D. Millionshchikov - Tatyana Mikhailovna Millionshchikova.
N. B. Lebedeva, as well as her mother and son, was buried at the Vvedensky cemetery in Moscow.
