Biography
By nationality Estonian evangelical Lutheran religion. From the peasants of the village Pervyatse Vaivarskoy parish Vesenberg district Estland province. He graduated from the parish school [3] . I passed the exam for the title of the initial national teacher. In 1878–1895 he worked as a teacher, after that and before being elected to the State Duma he served as a parish clerk. Chairman of the local mutual insurance society and secretary of the agricultural community. Member of the Constitutional Democratic Party . He owned a land plot of 14 dessiatinas and a summer cottage worth 3,900 rubles. Was married.
On October 14, 1907 he was elected to the State Duma of the III convocation from the congress authorized by the volosts of the Estland province. He entered the Constitutional Democratic faction . A member of the land commission, the commission on changing the legislation on peasants. He put his signature on the bills: “On changing the laws on collecting and sending land and in-kind duties of peasants”, “On ensuring the rest of commercial and industrial employees”, “On introducing zemstvos in Siberia”, “Rules for admission to higher educational institutions”, “On the hiring of trade employees "," On the introduction of local self-government in the Arkhangelsk province "," On amending the city electoral law, "On the abolition of the death penalty."
He died on February 19, 1931 in Waivar , Estonia [1] .
