Studio History

The studio was created in January 2003 in Donetsk under the impression of the popular animated flash series “ Masyanya ” [1] . The founders are Vladimir Lykov and Alexander Kolesnik [1] .

At the beginning of their work they created the project “Madhouse” - a parody of the reality show “Dom” [2] , as well as “MultTV”, where the issues were in the form of news, and the media workers were television hosts, journalists and actors [2] [3 ] . In 2005, Tunguru created the symbol of the contest “Teacher of the Year of Russia” and made a cartoon about it [4] .

In 2007, the studio became known to a wider audience after the creation of the series “ UmaNetto ”, a parody of the TV series “ Do not be born beautiful ”, which was created by order of the authors of the original series of the television company “ Amedia ” [1] [5] . This series was first laid out on the Internet, and then shown on CTC channel [6] .

After filming "Umanetto," the studio had the idea to make the series Office Plankton, which portrayed the "hooligan" version of the office, where employees do not want to work and their boss constantly has to force them to do it [7] .

Then the studio released the animated series “Football in Ukrainian”, which consists of short humorous stories about the teams of the Ukrainian Premier League. Each series beat associations with the city, where the football team came from, as well as regional flavor [8] . In 2013, for the football club " Shakhtar " a New Year's cartoon was released in which the players play a potpourri of famous songs [8] [9] .

The studio’s cartoons were shown on the Russian TV channels STS and MTV , the Ukrainian TV channels TRK Ukraina , STB , Novy Channel [7] , and on the American channel Comedy Central the cartoon Tunguru won the video ticket [10] . Also, besides cartoons, the studio is engaged in the production of advertising [11] and social videos. So, social advertising commercials were created for the Donetsk city charity foundation “Kindness” and the project “To orphanhood — no!” Of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine [12] .

In 2012, Vladimir Lykov took part in the Information Technology Industry Forum ( Expodonbass ), demonstrating new video presentation technologies developed in the studio [13] .
