The series premiered on May 11, 2015 on the STS channel. The series went on air from Monday to Thursday at 20:00, repetitions - from Tuesday to Friday at 12:30. The final series aired on STS on June 11, 2015.
Story
A talented programmer Maxim Savelyev from St. Petersburg is substituted by his close friend, and oligarch Konstantin Bushuev begins to hunt for Savelyev. In order to hide from the persecution, Maxim decides to hide in the remote Siberian village of Pykhta in the Tomsk Region . There he will have to give up all kinds of benefits of civilization and try to stop being a stranger among the locals as soon as possible. Maxim gets a job at a sawmill, which, as it soon became clear, belongs to Bushuev.

The song “Happy” was written by the Kristovsky brothers specifically for the series “Prince of Siberia”. Vladimir Kristovsky said:
“This song is our response to Farrell Williams' “ Happy ”hit, which sings about the secret of happiness for Americans. We created a comic version, where we came up with a recipe for happiness for a Russian person: girls, guys, benches, seeds, a bathhouse, accordion ... These are the simple joys that the main character of the series Maxim reveals for himself when he escapes from a noisy city to the Siberian wilderness. By the way, we are similar to this hero, but, unlike Max, who was forced to leave the city, I always dreamed of living away from the metropolis - our modern plastic existence is often annoying. ”

Shooting the video for the song “Happy” by Uma2rmaH , which became the title track of the series [2] , took place in Moscow , and Krasnoyarsk farmer Justas Walker [3] took part in them.
Production
Filming of the series took place in St. Petersburg and the city of Olonets ( Republic of Karelia ) [4] . Field shooting took place in the old Karelian village Bolshaya Selga [5] .
For the sake of filming in the series, actor Ivan Zhidkov was on a strict diet for 2.5 months: a lot of protein, nothing sweet, a minimum of carbohydrates - only vegetables, cereals and nuts [6] .
For the first time, the Prince of Siberia series was presented on October 7, 2014 as part of the business program of the 1st St. Petersburg International Media Forum [7] .
Ratings
The series started with good ratings on the STS channel. On May 11, 2015 at 20:00, the premiere series of “Prince of Siberia”, in an audience of 10 to 45 years old, gathered a rating of 2.7% in Russia, a share of 11.8%. STS took first place in Russia among all TV channels.
