We started dating in 1973, so I I had the opportunity to spend much more time with Elvis than the others. I flew on his plane, spent time in Graceland and usually stayed on the same floor in hotels during the tour. In California I could stay at Elvis’s house on Monovale. - When Elvis invited you to work with him? - Our agent called us and said that Elvis wanted us to sing with him.We weren’t amazed when we were sent (as it seemed) 200 albums of songs - to learn how to study, since we were not at all familiar with Elvis material. This was 1969, when Elvis recorded film soundtracks and old songs like "Teddy Bear" and "Love me Tender" - just not the type of music we listened to.
