The 47th Serbian division of NOAJ ( Serbohorv. 47. Srpska division of NOVЈ / 47. srpska divizija NOVJ ) is a military unit of NOAJ that participated in the Yugoslav People’s Liberation War.

History

Formed October 1, 1944 in Lebane . It consisted of the 15th Serbian brigade from the 24th Serbian division and the newly formed 28th and 29th Serbian brigades. There were 4,700 people at the time of education. The division also included Leskovatsky, Yablanitsky, Pustoretsky and Dobrichsky partisan detachments. By February 1944 there were 9900 people. Entered until December 3, 1944 in the 13th Serbian army corps, then stayed under the command of the General Staff of NOAJ in Serbia.

Baptism of fire took in Niš operation, acting to the south and south-west of Leskovac in the valley of the left bank of the South Morava. October 8, entered the battle, taking on October 11 Leskovac . Along the river Toplitsy, with the support of the artillery of the Bulgarian tank brigade, took the villages of Kochane and Chechina on October 12 , and on October 13, passed Toplitsa and ended up on October 14 in the Dobrichkoe field. With the support of the 24th Division, surrounded the 7th SS Mountain Division , which fled from Niš; with the help of Soviet aviation and the motorized rifle detachment of the Bulgarian tank brigade, destroyed the remnants of the SS division.

Until the end of October, it was located in the districts of Yastrepts, Toplitsy and Kosanitsy, from November - in eastern Serbia and later near Kragujevac and Kraljevo . She was engaged in the destruction of the failed troops of the Chetniks. It was disbanded at the beginning of May 1945 in Slavonski Brod , being in the disposition of the 1st Yugoslav Army .
