The river flows through the village of Chernoistochinsk , where it flows into the Chernoistochinsky pond and flows out of it. Upstream, it forms the Small Chernoistochinsky pond. In the boundaries of town. Chernoistochinsk river bed is blocked by a dam, on which the main hydroelectric complex of Nizhny Tagil, built under Akinfiy Demidov, is located . At the source of the pond, the river divides the village into two parts, flowing right through the middle of it. The channel of the river within the village goes around Lipovaya Mountain. Downstream, the river passes near the village of Antonovsky and flows 323 km along the left bank into the Tagil River in the area of the village of Monzino and Kopchik Mountains. Near the mouth passes a highway of regional significance Ekaterinburg - Nizhny Tagil - Serov .
Chernoistochinsky pond - a large reservoir in the Sverdlovsk region , south-west of Nizhny Tagil . The Black River passes through the pond. In the place of its mouth and source is the village Chernoistochinsk . Chernoistochinsky pond is the main reservoir of the city of Nizhny Tagil . Within the village are located hydraulic structures and recreation centers. They were created in 1849 for the sake of increasing the volume of water in the Black Lake to power the Chernoistochinsk metallurgical plant. In 1977, the first stage of the treatment plant was built, and in 1997 the company was transferred to NTMK . Today Chernoistochinsky pond - one of the most popular places for summer holidays among residents of Nizhny Tagil .
