Biography
Born in Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan SSR. Arriving in Baku, he entered the A. Zeynalli Music College in the Kemanchi class. After graduating from college, he returned for a while to Nakhichevan, where he taught. Then he continued his musical education and in 1962 he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (class of Jovdet Hajiyev ). Professor (1993).
In 1962-1971 he led the music editorial office on state television. In 1989-1995 he was the artistic director of the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble . For more than 20 years he taught at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory.
As a student, he created trios for piano, quartet, romances and a symphonic poem. He wrote the operettas “The Stolen Girl” (1982) and “Let's Become Relatives” (1983), two symphonies (1972, 1980), “Symphony” for the chamber orchestra (1974), a concert piece for packaging and a symphony orchestra, suites and overtures for folk - an instrumental orchestra, suites for a song and dance ensemble, choreographic sketches for schoolchildren and musical excerpts for dramatic plays “Spring”, “Conscience”, “A Glimpse in the Mountains”. He was the author of music for dramatic performances and films, numerous songs. His songs “Gulsar” (words by M. Aliyev), “Gyzgayyt” (words by R. Zyaka), “Hello River Kura” (words by D. Mammadov), “Nakhchivan song” (words by I. Safarli), “Waves” are most famous. , “Come, my life”, “Come to the spring”, “I found you”, “Holidays.”
He died on April 17, 2015 in Baku [1] .
