Title
The law of the Trans-Baikal Territory on the territories of urban and rural settlements enshrines the variant of the name Savvino [2] . Under it, the settlement is also listed in the All-Russian classifier of administrative-territorial entities [3] . At the same time, in the charter of the rural settlement “Galkinskoye” the village was named Savino [4] , and this option was, apparently, the most common earlier (see the name of the settlement on old topographic maps) [5] .
Geography
The village is located in a narrow valley of the Ingoda River , on its northern bank. To the north and north-west from Savvino, the Alekseyev Fall is leaving, along the bottom of which the Alekseyevka River flows, flowing into the village into the Ingoda River. A little higher than the village Alekseyevka takes the left tributary - the Saborchina river. The sources of both rivers in the north are located on the southern slopes of the Talachinsky ridge (to the north of Savvino there is a large peak - Mount Partizanskaya, 1022 m). In the area of the village there are still a number of rivers flowing from the ridge and flowing into Ingoda: east of Savvino there are the mouths of the rivers Savinsky Tymyken, Galkinsky Tymyken and, within the boundaries of the village Galkino , Ulyar. To the west, a large tributary of the Talach flows into Ingoda, originating on the Daursky Range . The relatively high spurs of the Talachinsky ridge compress narrow river valleys and border the Ingoda valley from the north. The Vasilisk mountains (843 m; southwest of Savvino), Uval and Gondyurich (684 and 732 m respectively; northeast of Savvino) rise above the riverbed.
On the southern coast of Ingoda there are also the mouths of many small rivers flowing from the Mogoytuysky ( Mogoytuevsky ) ridge: from the west to the east - Iligir, Molotova, Shadrina (flows along the bottom of Shadrin's paddy), Khara-Sheber (Khara-Shivyr pond). In the southern direction from Savvino there is a significant peak of the Mogoytuysky ridge Mount Texeke (1005 m).
The slopes of the mountains to the north of Savvino are poorly covered with forests, solid forests begin only at the tops of the main chain of the Talachinsky ridge (birch, larch, pine). On the contrary, the southern coast of Ingoda is densely covered with forest (also birch and larch).
The main path of the Trans-Siberian Railway passes through Savvino - the Savinskaya platform is located in the village. Platforms 6353 km and 6358 km are also located southwest and west, and 6368 km [6] in the village of Galkino. Long-distance trains stop only at Zubarevo station [7] (east of Galkino, in the village of Zubarevo ), however, suburban communications are available at Savinskaya, 6353 km and 6368 km bus stops (electric train Shilka-Passenger - Karymskaya ) [8] [9] [10 ] ] . The Bolshaya Tura - Karymskoye - Urulga - Solntsevo highway also passes through the village, connecting the A350 Chita - Zabaikalsk and P426 Mogoytuy - Sretensk routes north of the Mogoytuysky ridge.
The nearest settlements: in the east - the center of the rural settlement, the village of Galkino (6 km), in the west - the village of Urulga (18 km). Also earlier, on the opposite bank of Ingoda, in the Savvino area, there was a settlement Kalinovka , communicating with Galkino by ferry. At the moment, it is absent from the population of Shilkinsky district [5] [11] .
Climate
The climate is sharply continental , moderately cold, with warm summers and fairly cold winters, almost all precipitation falls in the summer, winters are dry (Dwb, according to the Köppen climate classification ) [12] .
History
The village has been known since 1865 as the Cossack village of Savino. In those years, there were 46 courtyards in the village, 252 people lived, there was a post station, a rural school, a half-floor building, and an economic store.
In 1899-1900, during the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway , the Savinsky railway junction was founded in the village. By 1912, there were 112 railroad workers and office workers in Savino. At the beginning of the XX century there was a small brick factory that worked for the needs of the Trans-Baikal Railway .
Today, also part of the population of Savvino works on the railway. In the village, according to some reports, there is a club with a library [13] .
