The Search is a 2014 French-Georgian dramatic film directed by Michel Hazanavicius . It is a remake of the film of the same name directed by Fred Zinnemann . [2] The film was nominated for the Golden Palm Branch in the main section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. [3]

Story
Two fates intertwine in the film: a Russian guy whose police discovered a jamb and sent to the draft board, from where he went to fight in the Second Chechen War, and a Chechen boy who lost his relatives in the war. An employee of the humanitarian center (Berenice Bejo) decides to help him. She does not know that the surviving relatives are looking for the boy.
